Refund & Cancellation Policy

This return policy outlines when our customers can and cannot return goods or receive refunds for services such as course fees from SING THE NORTH.

Please read this carefully before making a purchase on this website.

Refunds of registration fees: Summer Choral Festival

Refund requests within 14 days of purchase:

The amount of your refund will be the cost of the course less transaction fees and score and digital material costs. We regret we cannot refund score purchase pack costs owing to copyright laws, even if the scores are returned to us by post.

Refund requests later than 14 days after purchase:

The Summer Choral Festival is a labour of love and very expensive to run, with ongoing spending decisions made based on registration numbers each year. To protect the Festival from losing money owing to cancellations, we have put in place this strict cancellation policy.  After we have retained funds to cover transaction fees and score costs, we are able to refund the following:

  • Before April 1: Up to 75% of your course fee 
  • Between April 2 and May 1: Up to 60% of your course fee 
  • Between May 2 and June 1: Up to 50% of your course fee
  • Between June 2 and July 1: Up to 25% of your course fee or a 50% store credit
  • After July 1-July 15: We regret that no refunds can be issued. However we can offer a credit on the 2027 festival of up 25% of your course fee.

Medical Emergency

We are always happy to issue partial refunds or credit for course fees in the event of personal medical emergency. Please write to us at stnadmin (at) singthenorth.ca to explain your circumstances.

Return of physical goods

We have a 14-day return policy for physical goods such as merchandise. This means that you have 14 days after receiving your physical item to request a return.

We regret that we cannot issue refunds on score purchases, even if physical copies are returned to us, owing to copyright laws.

To start a return of a physical item, please contact us at stnadmin (at) singthenorth.ca. If your return is accepted, we will notify you by email when the return has been processed.

Damages and issues of physical goods

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and provide you with the product you ordered in good condition.

Non-returnable virtual items and services

Digital goods, once downloaded, cannot be physically returned by our customers. For this reason, we regret that there can be no returns on online concert projects, digital courses, or virtual events after any download link sent to customers following purchase has been clicked by the customer. Also, we regret that we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges of virtual goods and services

Within 14 days of purchase, you may request an exchange of a virtual item or service or a physical good for another item of the same value. In the event that an exchange is requested, we will refund the first item once the customer has purchased the replacement item.

Refunds of virtual goods and services

We understand that circumstances change are we are always interested in supporting customers who are experiencing hardship.

If you have purchased a virtual service through our shop and are unable to participate for medical or personal reasons, please write to us at stnadmin (at) singthenorth (dot) ca.

If your request is approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method less transaction and handling fees. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
