A new arrangement of this beautiful tune from Cape Breton Island, made famous by Allister MacGillivray, and by Canadian East-coast songbird, Anne Murray.
SING THE NORTH has commissioned a new arrangment of this song for SATB choir from Dr Larry Nickel (arranger of 'Four Strong Winds' from Season 2). Join us to sing on the world premiere recording of Larry Nickel's charming new version of this Maritime favourite.

5. Narvaez Bay - Tidal Predictions by Stephen Morris & Mark Timmings
A unique piece depicting the movements of the Moon (Sopranos), Tide (Altos), and Sun (Tenors & Basses) in Narvaez Bay off Saturna Island in British Columbia. Scores are available in the original graphic version (below) and in traditional notation.

6. Angel by Sarah McLachlan, arr. Andre van der Merwe
A stunning arrangement for SSAATTBB choir of this iconic Canadian ballad, created by the director of the world-famous Stellenbosch University Choir. This was our first STN project to take us outside Canada - we began our musical journey with a virtual walk-about on the campus of Stellenbosch University on the outskirts of Cape Town, South Africa.

7. Ambe by Andrew Balfour
A hugely uplifting composition for SSAATTBB choir by Manitoba Cree composer Andrew Balfour to an Ojibwe text from the original song by traditional singer and drummer. Cory Campbell.
"Ambe! Ambe! Anishinabeg! Biidigeg! / Come in! Come, all you two legged beings! There is good life here!".
Our project included a virtual field trip to the Indigenous Cultural Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where we met the hugely entertaining and knowledgeable guide Noah Malazdrewicz. Thank you Noah for your gracious and generous sharing of your knowledge!
