Sing Evensong at Christ Church Cathedral
In partnership with Music at Christ Church Cathedral, we are pleased to be able to offer choristers singing at the 2026 Summer Choral Festival the rare opportunity to sing an Evensong service on the afternoon of Sunday, August 9.
Evensong is a beautiful, contemplative, historic service in the Anglican tradition. Read more about it on the cathedral website.
This opportunity is open to singers who have registered to sing on the Sing the North Summer Choral Festival as either part-time or full-time singers, or as observers.
Limited places in each voice type (max 8 spaces for S1, S2, A1, A2, T1, T2, B1, B2) are available.
Rehearsals will take place during the STN Festival week at our rehearsal venue, St Mary's Church, and in the Song Room at the Cathedral. All rehearsals will take place outside the regular STN Festival timetable for choristers.
There is a small charge for taking part to help us cover rehearsal costs for the STN Festival.
Repertoire will be announced in Spring 2026.
