Season 4
What a wonderful time we have had singing SING THE NORTH Season 4, which is now closed for booking.
We sang no fewer than 14 times in our 2023-2024 season, with over 100 singers joining us from across North America and around the world.
SING THE NORTH Season 4 took place in three parts:
Virtual Choral Recording Projects
Our online choirs SING THE NORTH (STN) and STN Ice collaborated this year on four choir projects. We recorded:
- Anang (A Star) by Andrew Balfour - (Nov-December)
- Marie Madeleine (trad. Acadian) arranged by Dr Jeanette Gallant - (Feb-March)
- There Was The One by Joy Decoursey-Porter - (April)
- Anthem by Leonard Cohen, arr. Ali Orbaum with STN - (May-June)
See our SING THE NORTH choir page to learn how these projects worked.
STN Fridays Kitchen Parties

SING THE NORTH Summer Choral Intensive
Still to come is our in-person Summer Choral Program in Victoria, BC, on beautiful Vancouver Island, which runs July 20-27.
Canadian choral legend Howard Dyck will be joining us to lead the choir in a performance of Mozart's Requiem (Levin completion), along with music by feature composer Stephanie Martin, plus Bruckner, Mendelssohn, Willan, Andrew Balfour and Kathleen Allan.
Howard is the former host of Saturday Afternoon at the Opera on CBC radio and a hugely dynamic and inspiring conductor. Our concert will feature stellar soloists Karoline Podolak, Susan Platts, Benjamin Butterfield, and Gary Relyea, plus a special guest appearance by counter-tenor Daniel Taylor.
